Beth Petersen Memorial

Beth Petersen taught Head Start for over 30 years in Sioux City, Iowa, and during this time, the Petersen Center was created in her honor. She was 70 when she retired. She loved helping her students grow in knowledge and expereinces.

Sandy Crim is her daughter; Sandy has worked for Webster City Community Schools for many years in several capacities. Beth  had three granddaughters graduate from Webster City High School, and two granddaughters are attending in 2019.

We would like to offer this scholarship in Early Childhood Education in memory of our Mom, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother.

Scholarship Amount: $200


Criteria:

  • The recipient will be a current graduating WCHS Senior.
  • The recipient will be planning to attend college fulltime in the fall.
  • The recipient will be planning to major in Early Childhood or Elementary Education.

Application Due Date:  April 15


This application  and the Common Application will be used for this scholarship.
